As we introduced some talks couple of months ago about Flexible Display from Samsung and even told you about Youm display. Even Most recently, the rumored Galaxy Note 2 is expected to debut with a flexible display. There are Flexible Batteries for flexible devices also and now its time for pure flexible device.
Today, BBC is quoting that Samsung’s production capabilities for the flexible displays are now strong enough where the company may be able to release its first bendable smartphone sometime in 2013.
Samsung’s flexible displays will incorporate OLEDs, a display technology that the South Korean company is already using in its smartphones and television sets.
Samsung is obviously not the only company working on the technology. LG, Philips, Sharp, Sony and Nokia are all working on flexible displays.
