Pixel smartphones are known for their long – updates support and software optimization. However, still, over time some features present on newer Pixel smartphones are not found on the old Pixel devices. Due to hardware restrictions, bringing new features on old Pixel devices becomes unfeasible, but on compatible old Pixel devices, Google is porting some Pixel 7 features.

We have compiled a list of Pixel 7 features which will be available on old Pixel devices. Due to the improved NPU capability in the Pixel devices carrying Google Tensor, the NPU-hungry features are barred on Pixel 5, Pixel 4 and other old Pixel devices. Here’s a list of the Pixel 7 features compatibility:

In an interview with PhoneArena, Google Team member, Ling Wong confirmed Pixel 7 features which are coming to old Pixel devices. However, the company has nothing to share when enquired about the availability of the Pixel 7’s Face Unlock feature on the Pixel 6 Pro.
