Samsung unveiled few new products during the unpacked event, which was live-streamed on August 11 2021. Two of the products launched during yesterday’s event are the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and the Watch 4 Classic. Samsung has worked with Google to create a new UI for these watches. These two watches are the first watches from the brand to run on Wear OS-based One UI. The pricing of the Galaxy Watch 4 starts from USD 249.99 for the 40mm Bluetooth model and USD 299.99 for the 40mm LTE model. At the same time, the pricing of the 44mm model starts at USD 279.99 for the Bluetooth version and USD 329.99 for the LTE model.

And the price of 46mm starts from USD 379.99 for the Bluetooth model and USD 429.99 for the LTE version. Both these watches will be available on sale from August 27. The brand offers USD 50 as a credit to your Samsung store if you pre-book these watches between August 11 and August 26. Regarding the similarities, apart from the UI, both these watches sport the Exynos W920 dual-core processor, which is clocked at 1.18GHz. The chipset is 20% faster compared to its last-gen chipset. Both of these watches come with the Samsung BioActive Sensor. The sensor helps record Optical Heart Rate, Electrical Heart and Bioelectrical Imped Analysis (BIA) which is used to measure Blood Pressure.

It will help in the following functions, i.e. in heart rate monitoring and recording electrocardiogram reader (ECG). What BIA does is that it will send a weak electric current through your body. It will help analyse body fat percentage, body mass index (BMI), muscle mass, bone mass, and much more. Both these watches come with Bluetooth 5.0 and will support smartphones with Android 6.0 or higher versions. Also, both the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic features 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Other standard features include GPS, mic & speaker, SUPER AMOLED display, NFC and more. The NFC can be used to pay using Samsung Pay. Both of these watches differ in some aspects like display size colour, and also in some other aspects. You can find all of these in the following table.

We hope you understand the difference between the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. There are only a few differences between both these watches. I prefer the Watch 4 Classic because it uses a Stainless-steel frame. The same is far better than the Aluminium frame used in the regular Galaxy Watch 4.
