The new Galaxy Watch was spotted on FCC certification yesterday. Two different variants were spotted on the FCC certification with model numbers SM-R885 and SM-R880. Both the models were LTE and WiFi-only variants of Galaxy Watch 4. Connectivity details about the device were also revealed from the certification. And now, three new model numbers have been spotted on FCC certification today. The new model spotted today are having model numbers SM-R875U, SM-R870, and SM-R890.

According to the rumors and leaks, these may be the Active versions of the new Galaxy Watch. The first model with model number SM-R875U is having NFC and LTE support according to the certification. It is also having WiFi (802.11a/b/g/n) and Bluetooth. This could be the Galaxy Watch Active 4 LTE.

The other model with model number SM-R870 appears to be the WiFi-only variant of the new Galaxy Watch Active. The certification details only show Bluetooth and WiFi detail with no LTE support. The third model number listed on certification is SM-R890. It is listed along with an EB-BR890ABY battery, EP-OR825 wireless charger, and EP-TA200 travel adapter. This model is also a non-LTE variant of the watch.
As mentioned in our earlier article regarding Galaxy Watch 4, no detail about the launch has been official yet. But, according to Jon Prosser, the new Galaxy Watch will go on sale starting August 11. It is expected t launch in India considering the recent BIS listing of SM-R880.
According to new information, it is very likely that Samsung may launch these watches at MWC this year. The listing of brands and shows taking place at MWC is available on the official website of MWC 2021. The listing for the MWC hints at a Samsung event regarding smartwatches. So, there are chances that they may launch the new Galaxy Watch at MWC on 28 June.
