Three years back, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 9 with Android 8.1 (Oreo), which later got upgraded to Android 10, One UI 2.5. Despite being the fact, the company keeps on sending monthly security updates to the device. Presently, the Unlocked variants of Galaxy Note 9 in the USA are grabbing a new software update.

The latest update for the Galaxy Note 9Â in the US arrives on firmware version N960U1UEU8FUE1. Talking about the changes, the package brings improvements in system performance. Also, it is accompanied by the current security maintenance, June 2021 patch.
According to Samsung’s documentation, the June 2021 security patch includes 47 fixes from Google, which includes 2 critical and 27 high impacts, and 5 moderate vulnerabilities. Moreover, the patch also brings 19 fixes from Samsung’s own software including 3 High impacts, and 8 Moderate risks.
Along with the bump in safety level, the package brings enhancements to the Quick Share feature. For those unaware, the Quick Share feature is Samsung’s own customizations over Wi-Fi Direct. In simpler terms, it allows users to share files, documents, and more on a single tap without an internet connection.
