Google‘s latest test for Gboard on Android 12 is bringing support for syncing the keyboard theme with the wallpaper colors. To make it more clear, it will collect color from your wallpaper and apply the respective theme on your keyboard.

This is the new addition to the Android 12 “monet” theme system. The new Android theme optimizes the overall UI, all based on your wallpaper. This Gboard theming will start working once your smartphone adopts the Android 12 update.
As of now, the design can only be seen on Google’s own smartphone. Other Android users will have to wait to see this new wallpaper-based theming system. It will probably roll out with the unfurling of Android 12 OS. It will be worth watching how different custom OEM skins will handle this theming system.
Android 12 monet theme will be one of the major revamps to the Android UI in several years. With the time passing by, we will see more on this once Google I/O initiates this week.
The last update for the Gboard was pushed this month where Google released the keyboard to Wear OS first time in years. This bold step drove in several features including speech recognition, swipe to write, and much more. Following this was an upgrade that allowed easy access to the objects in the clipboard, that too without opening the menu.
