Vivo is busy seeding out its customized skin, Funtouch OS 11 to the eligible devices. Recently, the company rolled out the Android 11-based Funtouch OS 11 to Vivo V19 and several other devices. Reportedly, the smartphone brand is planning to push the update to other handsets say, Vivo V17, V17 Neo, Y19, Y11, Y12, V15 Pro, and the Vivo V15.
The reports stand true and the company is bringing Android 11-based Funtouch OS 11 to Vivo V17 users in India.

The latest software bears firmware version PD1948F_EX_A6.70.8 which weighs around 3.5 GB. The update brings all the Android 11 features like notification changes, chat bubbles, in-built screen recorder, smart media, and device controls etc along with Funtouch OS 11’s extensive features on top such as the Latest UI design, AOD, ultra game mode, new album feature, AI editor, iManager, new S-capture, and much more.
Android 11-based Funtouch OS 11 tends to further enhance system performance and stability. Here’s is the official changelog by the smartphone brand:

- Optimized the home screen editing function and home screen display effects.
- Optimized the display of background effects.
Dynamic effects
- Added the fingerprint icon animation
- Added two-finger recognition animation styles.
- Added two charging animation styles.
However, users need to be cautious as some experienced owners already reported a few bugs and issues after the update.

Vivo V17
Vivo V17 was officially launched in 2019 with a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6. The phone powers Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 (11 nm) chipset with Android 9.0 (Pie), Funtouch 9.2 out of the box. It comes with a quad-rear camera setup consisting of 48 MP wide, 8 MP ultrawide, 2 MP macro, and a 2 MP depth lens while on the front it carries a single 32 MP shooter. Vivo V17 can be accessed in 128 GB + 8 GB RAM and 256 GB + 8 GB RAM storage variants.
