HTC is a legend in the smartphone industry which has been out of form for quite some time. As how Nokia has risen from the ashes, the Taiwanese firm too is planning to resurrect its business. Earlier, multiple devices under the long lost Wildfire series have been surfaced online literally hinting the return of HTC. Now, another device dubbed as HTC Wildfire X is out in the wild with little specifications.
Again the credit goes to Android Recommended Devices list which have had given us foresight of many unannounced devices occasionally. The HTC Wildfire could be the fifth devices under Wildlife series which HTC will unveil later in time. In case if you’re unaware, the recently popped-up devices are – HTC Wildfire, HTC Wildfire E, HTC Wildfire E Plus and HTC Wildfire E1. The Wildfire series typically depicts mid-range devices by HTC and do so these new devices.
As per the Android Recommended Devices webpage, the Wildfire X will be powered by MediaTek Helio P22 SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM. The Helio P22 is purely entry level SoC which is seen on devices such as Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A. No details on the camera configuration has been revealed, neither the battery capacity. Obvious to our expectation, the source does mention that it will run Android 9 Pie out of the box.
It’s something to behold how HTC could make a cut with this refreshed Wildfire devices on a field where other Chinese players such as Xiaomi, Realme and so on have been reaping benefits like there is no tomorrow. Are you excited above the resurrection of HTC? Or do you think it’s high time for the firm as there is no room left for a re-entry? Do let us know down in the comments.
