Last week, Xiaomi India announced that they would be unveiling the Redmi Note 7S. As promised, the company launches the Redmi Note 7s with a starting price of ₹10,999.
As we predicted, the Redmi Note 7S is nothing but a rebranded original Redmi Note 7. Hence, all the specifications of the phone remain the same. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 clocked at 2.2GHz and will be available in two variants. The base variant will come with 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM whereas the higher variant will feature 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM.
The only difference between the Indian Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7S is the camera. The former one sports a 12MP sensor but the latter one comes with 48MP Samsung ISOCELL GM1 sensor. Other than this, both phones are identical in every way. The newly announced Redmi Note 7s has the same 6.3 inches FHD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) LCD display with a notch that houses a 13MP camera. It comes equipped with The same 4,000 mAh battery, headphone jack, USB type-C, IR blaster, Gorilla Glass 5 body, and P2i nano-coating for splash resistance.
The phone runs on MIUI 10 based on Android Pie like any other Xiaomi smartphone. It is priced at ₹10,999 and ₹12,999 for the 3GB RAM / 32GB ROM and 4GB RAM / 64GB ROM variants respectively. The Redmi Note 7s will be available in Ruby Red, Onyx Black, and Sapphire Blue colour options from Mi Homes, Mi.com, and Flipkart. The first sale will commence on May 23 at 12 PM.
