5. LG G Pad 8.3

On the 5th position we have LG G Pad 8.3, LG’s newest tablet. As the name suggests LG G Pad 8.3 has 8.3 inches IPS LCD display of resolution 1200*1920 pixels which makes pixel density of 273 ppi. There is 2 GB RAM, 16 GB ROM and you can expand it further using up to 64 GB microSD card. Build quality of G Pad 8.3 is superb. It bridges the gap between 7 inch tablets and 10 inch tablets. For photography enthusiastic there is 5 MP Autofocus rear camera which is capable of shooting Full HD videos at 30 fps. There is also secondary 1.3 MP camera. It runs on quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.7 GHz. Operating system wise it has Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. There is also 4600 mAh Li-Po battery. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth, Infrared Port, microUSB v2.0, GPS with A-GPS. Sadly there is no provision for slim card hence you will not get 3G/4G in G Pad 8.3.

4. Sony Xperia Tablet Z

Sony announced Xperia Tablet Z back in February 2013 and released it in May 2013. Best thing about this beautifully designed 10.1 inch tablet is that it is IP57 certified that means it is dust and water proof up to certain extent. Using this tablet you can watch movie while taking bath also. Sony Xperia Tablet Z is one of the slimmest tablet. It has thickness of only 6.9 mm. It has 10.1 inch LED-backlit LCD display of resolution 1200*1920 pixels which makes pixel density of 224 ppi. Just like LG G Pad 8.3, it has 2 GB RAM, 16 GB ROM and microSD card support up to 64 GB. Unlike G Pad 8.3, it has SIM card support hence you can use 3G. All the other connectivity options are also included. There is 8.1 MP rear camera which is also capable of shooting Full HD videos at 30 fps. There is also 2.2 MP camera. Another good thing about this tablet is that Sony promised to update this tablet to latest Android version 4.4 KitKat in coming days. Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8064 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz powers up the tablet. It has 6000 mAh Li-Po battery which is not removable.

On the number two position we have Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9. It was launched in September. It has 8.9 inches IPS LCD display of resolution 2560*1600 pixels which makes pixel density of 339 ppi. It comes in three models 16GB, 32GB and 64GB along with 2GB RAM. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor which is clocked at 2.2 GHz. Tablet runs on customized Android Jelly Bean OS and has ample connectivity options including LTE.

2. Nexus 7 (2013)

As compared to last year Nexus 7, Google upgraded Nexus 7 2013 in all aspects. It has LED-backlit LCD IPS capacitive 7 inch display of resolution 1200*1920 which makes pixel density of 323 ppi. Just like all the Nexus products, this Nexus tablet also doesn’t have microSD card support. It comes in 16GB/32GB internal memory models. For multitasking there is 2GB RAM. Nexus 7 2013 is powered by 1.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. Just like LG G Pad 8.3, this tablet is not great for photography enthusiastic. It has 5 MP autofocus rear camera and 1.2MP front camera.
