Going by the second quarter results posted by them yesterday, Google has earned about $16 billion in revenues which is a 22% increase from last year’s revenues. The company also posted about their operating income which came in at $4.26 billion, an even bigger 27% increase.
The $16 billion was generated from mainly two sources: $11 billion (69%) coming in from Google’s sites and services, increasing by about 23% over last year’s second quarter. 21% coming in from Google’s partner sites, generating about $3.42 billion. The remaining 10% or about $1.6 billion came in from other sources.
Thats not the only thing Google announced yesterday. Another big announcement was about its Chief Business Officer Nikesh Arora parting ways with Google, ending his 10-year relation with Google. He will joining SoftBank and is being replaced by Google’s own Omid Kordestani.
Look at the revenues generated, theses figures are impressive keeping in mind that Google recently gave away Motorola to Lenovo for $3 billion having acquired it for $12 billion.
